JAIPUR – In a massive administrative overhaul, the Rajasthan government led by the Department of Personnel (DoP) issued orders late on March 31, 2026, for the transfer and new posting of 65 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. The reshuffle impacts several key departments and district collectors across the state, aimed at streamlining governance and refreshing district leadership.
High-Profile Shifts in Secretariat and State Missions
The orders, signed by Joint Secretary Dr. Dheeraj Kumar Singh, include several high-ranking officers:

Dr. Joga Ram (2005): Continues as Secretary, Panchayati Raj, but takes on the additional significant responsibility of Mission Director, National Health Mission (NHM).

Shri Rajan Vishal (2008): Moves from the Finance (Budget) Department to serve as Mission Director, Jal Jeevan Mission.

Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni (2010): Appointed as Secretary to the Chief Minister, while also holding the charge of Secretary, Information and Public Relations.

Shri Nakate Shivprasad Madan (2011): Transitioned to Managing Director, Rajasthan Urja Vikas and IT Services Limited.
Major Changes in District Collectors
The reshuffle has significantly altered the leadership in several districts:

Srinagar & Jodhpur: Shri Gaurav Agrawal has been posted as the new District Collector of Udaipur, moving from Jodhpur. Shri Sandesh Nayak takes charge as Collector of Jaipur.

Bikaner: Shri Nishant Jain has been appointed as the District Collector of Bikaner, additionally holding the charge of Chairman, Bikaner Development Authority.

Tina Dabi (2016): The high-profile officer moves from her position in Barmer to serve as the District Collector of Tonk.

Other Districts: New Collectors have been designated for Barmer (Chinmayi Gopal), Sikar (Ashish Modi), Jaisalmer (Anupama Jorwal), and Dausa (Devendra Kumar), among others.

Municipal Corporations: Shri Om Prakash Kasera is the new CEO of Jaipur Smart City Ltd and Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Jaipur (Heritage). Shri Rahul Jain has been posted as Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Jodhpur.

Housing & Industry: Shri Arvind Kumar Poswal takes over as Commissioner, Rajasthan Housing Board, while Shri Suresh Kumar Ola has been appointed as Managing Director of RIICO.

Immediate Implementation
The government has directed all 65 officers to assume their new charges with immediate effect. This reshuffle is seen as a strategic move to reposition experienced cadre officers in anticipation of new development projects and administrative challenges in the upcoming fiscal year.
The list also includes the posting of several junior officers from the 2021 and 2023 batches as Special Officers to the Chief Minister and Chief Secretary’s offices to provide administrative support at the highest levels.
