The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Sibi George, a 1993-batch Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer, as Secretary (West) in the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
Currently serving in Grade-I of the IFS, George will now handle key diplomatic responsibilities pertaining to western countries. His appointment brings a wealth of experience in foreign policy and international relations to this crucial role within the MEA.
