Sony Sports Network, a leading name in premium sports broadcasting, is expanding its regional footprint with the launch of two dedicated language channels — Sony Sports Ten 4 Tamil and Sony Sports Ten 4 Telugu. These new offerings will go live from July 10, 2025, delivering exclusive sports content in Tamil and Telugu for fans across South India.
This move is part of Sony’s broader strategy to make sports content more accessible, culturally resonant, and emotionally engaging for India’s diverse audience. By offering a localized sports experience, the network aims to strengthen its connect with Tamil and Telugu-speaking viewers and enhance fan engagement across key regional markets.
In a parallel development, Sony Sports Network is also revamping its Hindi sports offerings.
-
Sony Sports Ten 3 (SD) will now be known as Sony Sports Ten 3 Hindi
-
Sony Sports Ten 3 (HD) will be rebranded as Sony Sports Ten 3 Hindi HD
This rebranding is designed to emphasize a language-first, viewer-centric approach that aligns with the network’s commitment to quality and personalization.
Rajesh Kaul, Chief Revenue Officer – Distribution & International Business and Head – Sports Business, Sony Pictures Networks India, said:
“The launch of Sony Sports Ten 4 Tamil and Sony Sports Ten 4 Telugu is our endeavour to provide localized content on dedicated Tamil and Telugu sports channels that make it easier than ever for fans to enjoy their favourite sporting moments in the language of their choice. This is about creating a seamless viewing experience and building a stronger emotional connection with our audiences.”
The launch comes ahead of a packed sports calendar featuring major tournaments like the India Tour of England, Asia Cup, UFC, UEFA Champions League, and more. With this move, Sony Sports Network is set to redefine the Indian sports-viewing experience—bringing premium content home in a language that feels truly personal.
