JAMMU (Feb 18, 2026) — In a significant bureaucratic move, the Jammu and Kashmir administration has appointed former IAS officer Shantmanu as the new State Election Commissioner (SEC) of the Union Territory.
Shantmanu, a highly regarded officer of the 1991 batch (AGMUT cadre), succeeds B.R. Sharma, who recently completed his tenure in the post.
