MUMBAI – Hansa Entertainment has named veteran media professional Sujatha Narayanan as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective March 30, 2026. Narayanan brings over two decades of expertise in creative content curation, production, and media entrepreneurship to the role.
The appointment signals a strategic shift for the production house as it aims to establish itself as a “story-first, IP-driven” entity in the competitive Indian entertainment landscape.
A Vision for Multi-Format Content
Narayanan’s career spans film, OTT, and branded content. She is a well-known film columnist and has previously led successful campaigns for major brands. At Hansa, her focus will be on bridging the gap between traditional filmmaking and modern digital formats.
-
Diverse Slate: Under her leadership, the company plans to produce a mix of theatrical films, OTT shows, and branded “vertical dramas.”
-
Talent Integration: She has already assembled a team consisting of both industry veterans and “new-age” dynamic creators.
-
Regional Reach: Sruti Swamy, Director of Hansa Entertainment, noted that Narayanan’s deep goodwill across various regional markets will be vital for producing content in multiple languages.
Strategic Roadmap
Narayanan emphasized that the company’s future projects will rely on an “ear-to-the-ground” approach, prioritizing authentic storytelling while maintaining high aesthetic and filmmaking standards. The entity will build upon the existing reputation of its group affiliate, Hansa Vision, to scale its intellectual property (IP) portfolio.
