Lucknow: Senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Bijaya Kr Maurya, currently serving as the Director General (DG), Home Guard, Uttar Pradesh, is scheduled to retire this month.
A 1990 batch IPS officer, Maurya has held several important positions during his long and distinguished career in law enforcement. His retirement marks the end of over three decades of service in the police force, during which he contributed significantly to public safety and administrative reforms in Uttar Pradesh.
The state government is expected to announce his successor shortly.
