Vibha Chahal Appointed as Director in the Department of Food & Public Distribution

In a key bureaucratic appointment, Ms. Vibha Chahal, a 2012-batch IAS officer of the Uttar Pradesh (UP) cadre, has been appointed as Director in the Department of Food and Public Distribution under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. Her appointment, made on a central deputation basis, comes as the department focuses on strengthening the Targeted Public Distribution System (TPDS) and managing national food security initiatives.
