Vice Admiral Sanjay Vatsayan, AVSM, NM, has officially assumed charge as the Vice Chief of the Naval Staff (VCNS). An alumnus of the 71st course of the National Defence Academy (NDA), Pune, he was commissioned into the Indian Navy in January 1988.
A specialist in Gunnery and Missile Systems, Vice Admiral Vatsayan has held a wide range of command, operational, and staff appointments during a distinguished naval career spanning more than three decades.
