The Government of Uttar Pradesh has promoted four senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers—L. Venkateshwarlu, B. L. Meena, Narendra Bhushan, and Anurag Srivastava—from the position of Principal Secretary to Additional Chief Secretary (ACS). The advancement takes effect under Pay Matrix Level-17, conferring the corresponding salary scale.
L. Venkateshwarlu has demonstrated notable expertise in rural development and technological innovation.
B. L. Meena has played a pivotal role in advancing policy reforms in agriculture and rural development.
Narendra Bhushan is recognized for his proficiency in urban development and large-scale infrastructure projects.
Anurag Srivastava is known for spearheading administrative reforms and ensuring the effective implementation of public-welfare schemes.
According to the order issued by the Department of Personnel and Appointments, these officers will now shoulder broader and more strategic responsibilities expected to propel Uttar Pradesh’s governance and administrative efficiency to new heights.
Senior officials and staff have welcomed the decision, expressing confidence that the newly promoted officers will continue to excel in their enhanced roles. The government emphasized that the move not only honors the hard work of these officers but also underscores its commitment to promoting transparency and efficiency within the state administration.
