GUWAHATI — Marking the conclusion of the 2,000-kilometer Jan Ashirwad Yatra, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma declared that the upcoming elections are a decisive battle for the survival and identity of Assam’s indigenous population.
Speaking in the Sorbhog-Bhawanipur constituency, the Chief Minister emphasized that every electoral contest in the state carries the weight of protecting regional heritage. Following the successful completion of the yatra across 40 Assembly constituencies, the campaign now shifts into the Vijay Sankalp Sabha phase starting Wednesday.
