NEW DELHI — Global home furnishing retailer IKEA has announced the appointment of Jessamine Avila as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for India.
In her new role, Avila will join the company’s Growth and Marketing division, tasked with scaling brand relevance as the business expands its omni-channel footprint across physical stores and digital marketplaces in the country.

Avila transitions into the leadership role with over 20 years of specialized experience in global marketing operations, brand strategy, and consumer engagement:

Long-Standing Institutional Tenure: She has spent 12 years within the international IKEA ecosystem, holding various pivotal roles across both global frameworks and localized markets.

International Footprint: Her professional journey within the company includes key leadership positions in Australia, followed by a strategic tenure with the global marketing team headquartered in Malmö, Sweden.
Strategic Mandate for the Indian Market
As CMO, Avila’s immediate focus will center on deepening customer connections and unifying IKEA’s brand expression across India’s highly competitive retail landscape. Her mandate involves refining cross-channel communication to deliver a unified and localized consumer experience.
