NEW DELHI — The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has formally approved a proposal from the Department of Commerce granting ex-post facto approval to senior bureaucrat P Hemalatha for holding the additional charge of Chairman, Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA), Cochin.
Hemalatha, a 2000-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Karnataka cadre, discharged the duties of the Joint Secretary-level post concurrently with her primary responsibilities as Development Commissioner, Special Economic Zone (SEZ), Cochin, for the period spanning March 18, 2026, to May 24, 2026.
