Bharti Airtel Limited has officially appointed Mr. Shashwat Sharma as the Managing Director & CEO (Airtel India) for a five-year term starting January 1, 2026; currently serving as the CEO Designate, Mr. Sharma will succeed Gopal Vittal, who transitions to the role of Executive Vice Chairman as part of the company’s long-term, structured leadership succession plan.
