NEW DELHI — The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of senior Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer Mayank Kumar as Member of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) against an existing vacancy.
Kumar, a 1991-batch IRS (Customs & Indirect Taxes) officer, was serving as Principal Chief Commissioner of Mumbai Customs (Zone-I) prior to his elevation to the apex policy-making body for indirect taxes.
