KANPUR — All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi has announced an October 2 deadline to decide the party’s formal alliance strategy for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
Speaking at a rally in Kanpur’s Cantonment constituency, Owaisi issued a direct invitation to opposition parties aiming to prevent a third consecutive term for the BJP in Uttar Pradesh, while asserting that his party’s restrained messaging should not be misinterpreted as weakness.
