NEW DELHI — In a move to formalize its leadership structure in Puducherry, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Parliamentary Board has appointed two senior figures as Central Observers for the upcoming election of the Leader of the Legislative Party.
According to an official press release dated May 4, 2026, Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya and Shri Nirmal Kumar Surana, the current BJP In-charge for Puducherry, have been assigned to oversee the process.
The announcement was made by Arun Singh, National General Secretary & Headquarters Incharge of the BJP. The appointment of these high-level observers underscores the party’s focus on maintaining stability and a unified direction in the Union Territory following recent administrative and political shifts across the country.
