NEW DELHI — Department of Commerce Joint Secretary Ujjwal Kumar Ghosh has assumed interim leadership of the Export Inspection Council of India (EIC) as Director (Inspection & Quality Control), effective September 25, 2026.
The 2008-batch Karnataka-cadre IAS officer will manage the export quality assurance agency alongside his primary ministerial duties for a six-month period, or until a permanent appointment is finalized.
