Following the formal end of the month-long national exam agitation, the Delhi Police Cyber Cell has launched a targeted effort against online accounts posting crude and offensive content directed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Multiple digital media platforms have received formal removal directives from law enforcement, leading to the deletion of flagged clips, comments, and posts. Dedicated cyber units are maintaining round-the-clock surveillance, issuing continuous takedown notices as new derogatory material surfaces online.
Digital Cleanup Marks End of 37-Day Student Siege
The digital enforcement push closely follows the strategic end of the protest campaign spearheaded by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP). The student-led movement—initially triggered by paper leaks in the NEET examinations—was officially called off on Saturday after the Centre accepted key terms, headlined by the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
The negotiated truce between government representatives and student organisers established several binding commitments:

Online Fallout of the Jantar Mantar Standoff
The movement, which began as a localized sit-in at Jantar Mantar on June 20, saw its visibility expand dramatically after civil rights activist Sonam Wangchuk joined the campaign in late June.
The standoff reached a critical boiling point during the July 20 ‘Sansad Chalo’ march, where police barricades, tear gas, and baton charges led to violent scuffles. Video clips of the confrontation circulated widely online, triggering the wave of volatile social media posts now subject to police action.
While CJP chief spokesperson Saurav Das confirmed the agitation was called off in good faith, party representatives have not yet commented on the Cyber Cell’s ongoing content takedown operation.
