NEW DELHI: In a significant leadership acquisition for India’s regional print and digital publishing sector, Delhi Press has appointed Shailesh Srivastava as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). The senior leadership transition has been officially confirmed by the management of Delhi Press.
Srivastava steps into the role after concluding an eight-year tenure with Reliance Broadcast Network, where he served as Business Head and played a central role in driving regional media monetization strategies.
A Proven Track Record in Media Operations
Srivastava brings extensive experience in corporate scaling, revenue generation, and multi-platform media strategy. His professional trajectory spans major media networks, telecom conglomerates, and hospitality groups:
-
Reliance Broadcast Network (2018–2026): Srivastava joined the group in March 2018 and steadily climbed into the core senior leadership tier. As the National Business Head for BIG FM, he reported directly to the CEO, overseeing nationwide ad-revenue models, regional programming expansions, and brand solution frameworks.
-
Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG): Prior to his long stint at Reliance, he managed strategic insights and expert network consultations for global clients at the leading knowledge-brokerage firm.
-
Early Professional Foundation: His diverse corporate background also includes critical operational and client acquisition assignments at Lemon Tree Hotels and Reliance Communications.
The Mandate: Navigating the Multi-Format Publishing Market
Delhi Press—celebrated for its sprawling portfolio of legacy publications including Grihshobha, Sarita, Champak, Caravan, and Saras Salil—reaches a massive multi-lingual audience across India.
As COO, Srivastava will be tasked with modernizing the group’s operational framework to capture shifting audience habits. His core responsibilities will focus on driving digital subscription models, strengthening corporate ad-sales pipelines, expanding video and audio content IPs, and optimizing print distribution logistics to ensure sustainable, long-term revenue growth.
