MUMBAI — Telecom equipment major Ericsson has appointed industry veteran Randeep Raina as Head of Customer Unit for Vodafone Idea (Vi), placing him at the helm of the company’s key strategic account in India.
Based in Mumbai, Raina brings over 27 years of cross-sector experience in technology, sales, and strategy. He will report directly to Andres Vicente, CEO of Market Area Southeast Asia, Oceania and India, while joining the regional leadership team. Raina takes over from Krishna Patil, who transitions into a new role as Executive Advisor to Vicente.
Before joining Ericsson, Raina served as Head of Telco and Strategic Partnerships at Google India and was previously Chief Technology and Strategy Officer at Nokia Networks India.
In his new assignment, Raina will lead Ericsson’s commercial and operational engagement with Vi, driving network modernization, 4G/5G footprint expansion, and the integration of cloud-native charging and AI-driven operations.
