Haryana’s official IPS gradation list indicates that two senior police officers are approaching retirement, bringing succession planning into focus for the state’s police administration.
Sanjeev Kumar Jain, a 1991-batch IPS officer, is scheduled to retire on September 30, 2026, while Shatrujeet Kapur, a 1990-batch officer, is due to retire on October 31, 2026.
The developments come as the Personnel Department has already published the retirement schedule for IAS officers for 2027. With several senior officers nearing the end of their service, succession planning is likely to remain an important administrative priority over the medium term.
