NEW DELHI — In a prominent editorial transition within India’s lifestyle journalism space, Radhika Bhirani has been named the new Lifestyle Editor for HT City, the popular entertainment and lifestyle supplement of the Hindustan Times.
Bhirani moves into this top editorial position following a highly successful five-year tenure leading editorial content at Health Shots, a digital health and wellness platform under the same media umbrella. Concurrently, she spent over a year heading HT Shop Now, the publication’s dedicated e-commerce and lifestyle discovery engine.
A Proven Track Record in Lifestyle & Health Journalism
This appointment marks Bhirani’s second major stint with Hindustan Times. She previously served the organization as a Senior Special Correspondent, a role where she honed her ground-level reportage before transitioning into high-level editorial management.
Bhirani’s career portfolio brings deep strategic expertise across several publishing domains:
-
Digital & Print Integration: Merging high-traffic digital wellness content with print-ready lifestyle features.
-
Content Strategy: Scaled editorial metrics for health and consumer e-commerce platforms over the last half-decade.
-
Subcontinental Reportage: Anchored a nearly 12-year foundational stint at Indo-Asian News Service (IANS) early in her career, managing fast-paced wire reporting across entertainment and culture beats.
Editorial Mandate at HT City
In her new capacity as Lifestyle Editor, Bhirani will oversee the creative direction, trend forecasting, and cultural coverage for HT City. Her mandate includes driving premium content across fashion, wellness, food, and urban subcultures, ensuring the brand remains competitive across both traditional print editions and evolving digital properties.
