PATNA — The Ministry of Law and Justice has formally notified the appointment of Justice Sudhir Singh as the Acting Chief Justice of the Patna High Court, effective July 11, 2026.
Issued by the President of India under Article 223 of the Constitution, the directive elevates Justice Singh to the helm of the high court following the retirement of the incumbent 48th Chief Justice, Smt. Meenakshi Madan Rai, who demitted office upon completing her brief statutory tenure.
