GENEVA / NEW DELHI — In a major international recognition of India’s consumer governance framework, senior bureaucrat Nidhi Khare (IAS) has been elected as the Chairperson of the Ninth Session of the Intergovernmental Group of Experts on Consumer Protection Law and Policy.
The high-level global meeting, organized under the aegis of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), is currently underway at the iconic Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, from July 6 to July 8, 2026.
