TORONTO: Moroccan-Canadian performer Nora Fatehi has achieved a massive milestone on the global music stage, dropping “Siir Siir,” her official track for the FIFA World Cup 2026, ahead of her highly anticipated live performance at the tournament’s opening ceremony.
The track, which serves as Track 14 on the historic 18-song FIFA Sounds album, released its music video on June 8, 2026. Produced by Sanjoy and featuring French artist Vegedream, “Siir Siir” seamlessly blends Moroccan, Canadian, and South Asian cultural rhythms. Fatehi described the anthem as a deeply personal yet universally resonant project, reflecting her complex identity as an artist raised in Canada, rooted in Moroccan heritage, and propelled to stardom by India’s entertainment ecosystem.
This project marks a major promotion for Fatehi, who previously appeared as part of an ensemble cast in the 2022 Qatar World Cup track “Light the Sky.” For the 2026 edition, she takes center stage as a primary artist, sharing album space with global icons like Shakira, LISA, Tyla, and Daddy Yankee. Adding to the magnitude of the moment, Fatehi is scheduled to perform the track live at the official opening ceremony on June 12, 2026, at BMO Field in Toronto—her hometown.
Fatehi, who carved out a unique career trajectory as a non-Indian national dominating the Bollywood pop-culture landscape, deliberately brought a heavy Indian influence to the global project. The music video features an entirely Indian crew, including the choreographer, dancers, and stylists. Calling the homecoming performance “almost unreal,” Fatehi emphasized that the opportunity represents a beautiful full-circle moment meant to bridge Eastern and Western sounds on the world’s most-watched sporting stage.
