NEW DELHI — Veteran journalist, media strategist, and Padma Shri recipient Alok Mehta has officially joined Varta24 Media as its Managing Editor and Chief Strategic Officer.
Mehta transitions to the multi-dimensional media platform from the ITV Group, where he had been serving as the Editorial Director of India News since 2022.

Mehta is one of India’s most prominent media personalities, with a career spanning over 50 years across print, broadcast, and digital formats:

Apex Editorial Roles: Previously led several of India’s most influential news publications, including Outlook Hindi, Navbharat Times, Hindustan, Nai Dunia, Dainik Bhaskar, National Dunia, and Governance Now Hindi.

International Broadcasting: Served as the Hindi Editor for Voice of Germany (Cologne) from 1979 to 1982, and later contributed for a decade as a regular commentator for the Voice of America Hindi Service.
