NEW DELHI — Russian President Vladimir Putin will arrive in New Delhi this week for the 18th BRICS Summit (September 12–13, 2026), hosted under India’s BRICS Chairmanship. Prior to the multilateral summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Putin will hold a bilateral summit on Friday, September 11, to align on bilateral trade, cross-border energy logistics, and regional stability, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov confirmed.
The meeting will focus on scaling Indian investments in Russia, securing international transport corridors, insulating domestic energy markets from West Asian supply shocks, and reviewing ground developments in the Ukraine conflict.
