NEW DELHI — In a major diplomatic and industrial milestone, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin jointly inspected the Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) exhibition pavilion during the INNOPROM. India 2026 international trade show at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
The visit underscored growing Indo-Russian industrial collaboration and technological exchange in transport, manufacturing, and large-scale infrastructure development.

Vande Bharat Sleeper Trainsets (KINET Joint Venture): RVNL highlighted its partnership with Russian manufacturer TMH under the joint enterprise KINET to produce advanced, indigenous Vande Bharat sleeper trainsets—combining Indian manufacturing scale with Russian technical expertise.

Rishikesh–Karnaprayag Rail Link: A model of the Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) deployed in the challenging Himalayan terrain was presented, detailing progress on one of India’s most critical mountainous rail corridors.
