In an Op-Ed published in The Hindu, Gandhi argued that the Central Government must accept full accountability for the administrative action against student demonstrators. Asserting that security agencies such as the Delhi Police and Rapid Action Force fall directly under the Ministry of Home Affairs, he stated that the Ministry either sanctioned the action—making it culpable—or was unaware of the operational response, demonstrating incompetence.
