NEW DELHI — In a major leadership movement within the telecom sector, Bharti Airtel has announced the resignation of Siddharth Sharma, the company’s CEO of Connected Homes and Director of Marketing. Sharma is slated to join the Singtel Group for his next professional chapter.
The telecom major officially disclosed the transition in a regulatory filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
Mid-July Departure Confirmed
According to the company’s official statement, Sharma’s tenure with Bharti Airtel will officially draw to a close next month.
“Sharma will cease to be part of the company’s senior management personnel effective close of business hours on July 19, 2026,” the company informed in its BSE filing.
A Move Within the Global Telecom Ecosystem
Bharti Airtel also shared Sharma’s formal resignation letter as part of the regulatory disclosure. In the letter, Sharma stated that he has decided to step down to pursue a new professional opportunity outside the organization.
His move to Singtel represents a transition within a deeply interconnected global telecom network, as the Singapore-based Singtel Group remains a major strategic investor and long-term partner in Bharti Airtel.
Airtel has not yet announced a successor for the dual role of CEO–Connected Homes and Director of Marketing.
