In a significant advancement within the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Mr. C. Kalaichelvan, a 2012-batch IPS officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre, has been promoted from Superintendent of Police (SP) to Deputy Inspector General (DIG). Currently serving on central deputation, Mr. Kalaichelvan’s elevation comes as part of a series of departmental promotions intended to strengthen the agency’s senior investigative leadership. Known for his meticulous approach to complex cases, his promotion is expected to bring seasoned field experience to the CBI’s higher administrative and supervisory levels.
