In a significant advancement within the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Mr. C. Kalaichelvan, a 2012-batch IPS officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre, has been promoted from Superintendent of Police (SP) to Deputy Inspector General (DIG). Currently serving on central deputation, Mr. Kalaichelvan’s elevation comes as part of a series of departmental promotions intended to strengthen the agency’s senior investigative leadership.
