Kota Ravi, the current Director (Operations) at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), has been recommended for the prestigious position of Chairman & Managing Director (CMD). The selection was finalized by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) during its meeting on January 29, 2026. Emerging as the top choice from a pool of eight high-profile candidates, Ravi is set to lead India’s premier aerospace and defense giant at a critical juncture. His leadership will be instrumental as HAL ramps up production of the LCA Tejas Mk1A, advances the AMCA (Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft) project, and expands its global footprint in the defense export market.
