Sangrah Maurya, a seasoned officer of the Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE), has been appointed as the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of the Asansol Division under Eastern Railway (ER). Currently serving in Northern Railway (NR), his transfer and posting come at a vital time for the Asansol Division, which serves as a major hub for coal loading and industrial freight. Maurya’s expertise in civil engineering and infrastructure management is expected to drive key modernization projects in one of India’s oldest and busiest railway divisions.
