NOIDA — In a strategic move to bolster its AI and engineering capabilities, Adobe has appointed Shamik Basu as Vice President, Creative Products Group in India.
Based in Noida, Basu will lead Adobe India’s engineering and product management teams and join the company’s local leadership board. He transitions to Adobe from Microsoft, where he specialized in enhancing AI-powered user experiences and platform reliability.
Strategic Focus & Global Alignment:

Product Roadmap: Basu will collaborate with global teams on flagship Adobe products, including Firefly, Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, and Premiere.

AI Innovation: His appointment aims to accelerate “creator-first” experiences, leveraging India as one of Adobe’s fastest-growing markets for Generative AI.

Leadership Structure: Basu will report directly to Ely Greenfield, Chief Technology Officer and SVP of the Creative Products Group.
According to Greenfield, Basu’s expertise in building large-scale, intelligent platforms will be instrumental in deepening global alignment and driving the next phase of Adobe’s innovation from its India hubs.
