NEW DELHI —In a strategic cross-industry move, Amrita Bharadwaj has joined Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL) to lead its end-to-end marketing operations. The move follows her departure from the media giant JioStar in mid-March.
Bharadwaj previously served as the Vice President of Brand Solutions (Sports) at JioStar, where she played a key role in driving sports-related brand partnerships. Her transition to the consumer goods arm of Reliance marks a significant shift as the company continues to aggressively expand its presence in the FMCG sector.
A Blend of Media and Brand Expertise
Bharadwaj brings a diverse portfolio to her new role at Reliance:
-
JioStar & Star Sports: Before her most recent role, she was the Director of Brand Solutions and Customer Marketing Strategy at Star Sports.
-
FMCG Roots: Her expertise isn’t limited to media; she has extensive experience on the brand side, having managed strategy and communications for global names like Mars and Carlsberg.
Strategic Impact
Her appointment is expected to bolster Reliance Consumer Products’ marketing landscape as it competes with established giants like HUL and Adani Wilmar. With her background in both high-stakes sports marketing and traditional brand strategy, Bharadwaj is well-positioned to drive RCPL’s growing house of brands toward a more dominant market share.
