LUCKNOW – In a significant administrative overhaul, the Uttar Pradesh government has announced the transfer and posting of 40 high-ranking officers, including several District Magistrates (DMs) and Municipal Commissioners. This reshuffle aims to streamline governance and inject fresh energy into district administrations and state departments.
The move, effective immediately, sees a massive realignment of leadership across key districts such as Jhansi, Agra, Unnao, and Rae Bareli.
Key District Magistrate Appointments
Several districts have received new leadership. Notable changes include:

Shri Gaurang Rathi, previously DM Unnao, has been appointed as the DM of Jhansi.

Shri Kumar Harsh moves from Sultanpur to become the DM of Bulandshahr.

Shri Arvind Malappa Bangari, the former DM of Agra, has been moved to the capital as Special Secretary to the Chief Minister. Taking his place, Shri Manish Bansal has been appointed as the new DM of Agra.

Shri Ghanshyam Meena has been posted as the DM of Unnao, while Smt. Durga Shakti Nagpal takes charge as the DM of Lakhimpur Kheri.
