KOLKATA / MUMBAI – Bandhan Bank has announced the appointment of Debasish Panda, former Secretary of the Department of Financial Services (DFS) and former IRDAI Chairman, as its Part-Time Chairman. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has officially cleared his appointment for a three-year term, effective from the date he assumes charge.
In a parallel development in the financial services sector, Panda has also been appointed as an Independent Director on the board of Invesco Asset Management (India) Private Limited, the investment manager for Invesco Mutual Fund.
