NEW DELHI: In a major transition at the pinnacle of India’s military command structure, General N S Raja Subramani has officially assumed charge as the nation’s third Chief of Defence Staff (CDS). He succeeds General Anil Chauhan, who completed a three-and-a-half-year tenure at the helm of the tri-services.
