The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has formally cancelled the appointment of Abhishek Dhania, a 2012-batch IPS officer of the AGMUT cadre, as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).
Under an official order issued by the Police-I Division of the MHA, the competent authority has further debarred the officer from central deputations as well as foreign assignments and consultancies for a period of five years under the provisions of the IPS Tenure Policy.
