NEW DELHI — Vice Admiral Manish Chadha, AVSM, VSM, officially assumed charge as the Director General Naval Operations (DGNO) on Thursday, taking over the helm of the Indian Navy’s operational planning and maritime readiness from Vice Admiral A.N. Pramod.
An alumnus of the 78th course of the National Defence Academy (NDA), Vice Admiral Chadha was commissioned into the Indian Navy in 1991. Over his three-decade career, he has held numerous critical command, staff, and instructional appointments, including serving as the Commandant of the prestigious Indian Naval Academy (INA) in Ezhimala.
