GUWAHATI — The Government of Assam has formally approved the Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS) application of senior administrative officer Debashish Sharma, IAS, ending his tenure as District Commissioner (DC) of Nagaon.
The administrator’s premature exit from civil service comes just months after his district assignment, fueling administrative realignments and political shifts across the region.
