NEW DELHI — Taking a sharp swipe at the political Opposition, Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju likened opposition leaders to disgruntled family elders (“naraaz fufas”), claiming their hostility stems from repeated electoral defeats against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Speaking at NDTV’s ‘People’s Sansad’ event, Rijiju addressed an audience largely composed of students and young professionals, reflecting on political dynamics, governance under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the rapid infrastructure overhaul in India’s Northeast.
