NEW DELHI — In a prominent leadership upgrade at the country’s top investigative agency, senior police officer A.Y.V. Krishna has been cleared for promotion to the post of Special Director in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
A distinguished 1995-batch IPS officer belonging to the Assam-Meghalaya cadre, Krishna was previously serving as an Additional Director in the bureau. The elevation places him in the second-highest executive position within the CBI setup.
