NEW DELHI — Veteran journalist and TV news presenter Rubika Liyaquat has rejoined Network18, taking on a dual national and regional editorial role as Managing Editor of News18 Rajasthan and prime-time anchor on national flagship News18 India.
The strategic appointment marks her return to the broadcast network after her recent departure from Times Now Navbharat, where she served as Senior Executive Editor and Vice President (Special Projects).
Key Takeaways of the Dual Editorial Role
-
Managing Editor Mandate: Liyaquat will lead overall content strategy and editorial operations for News18 Rajasthan, taking charge of the group’s regional presence in her home state.
-
National Prime-Time Anchor: In addition to regional leadership, she returns to the prime-time lineup on News18 India to anchor national news broadcasts and major political programming.
-
Career Footprint: Spanning nearly two decades in Indian electronic media, Liyaquat has held senior anchoring and editorial positions across ABP News, Zee News, News24, Bharat24, and Live India.
The dual role strengthens Network18’s prime-time broadcast strategy while positioning experienced national faces to lead key regional news channels.
