CHENNAI — The Tamil Nadu Government has issued orders for a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring and reassigning several senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers across key state departments.
The top-level administrative realignment includes the following key transfers and postings:

Home Department Leadership: A. Karthik, previously Managing Director of TANSIDCO, has been appointed Principal Secretary of the Home, Prohibition, and Excise Department, replacing K. Manivasan.

Land Administration & Power Sector: K. Manivasan takes over as Additional Chief Secretary and Commissioner of Land Administration. Outgoing Commissioner of Land Administration Rajesh Lakhani has been posted as Chairman and Managing Director of the Electricity Board, while also serving as Chairman of the Electricity Generation Corporation.

Finance & Agriculture Realignment: V. Arun Roy, former Managing Director of the Electricity Board, has been posted as Secretary (Expenditure) in the Finance Department. Outgoing Expenditure Secretary N. Venkatesh moves to lead the Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department as Secretary.
