AMARAVATI — The Central Government has approved a second six-month service extension for Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary G Sai Prasad, extending his tenure through May 31, 2027.
Prasad, a 1991-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, was previously granted an initial six-month extension running from June 1 to November 30, 2026. The latest extension follows a formal request submitted to the Centre by the Andhra Pradesh state government in late September, ensuring administrative continuity at the top level of state governance.
