NEW DELHI — The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the extension in temporary upgradation of the post of Director General, National Productivity Council (NPC) from the level of Additional Secretary to that of Secretary.
The post in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) is currently held by Neerja Sekhar, a 1993-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Haryana cadre. Under the newly approved mandate, her upgraded tenure at the Secretary rank will run through December 31, 2027.
