V Srinivas, a 1989 batch IAS officer of the Rajasthan cadre, has been appointed and assumed charge as the new Chief Secretary of Rajasthan; he will concurrently handle the additional responsibilities of Chairman, Rajasthan State Mines and Mining Corporation Ltd., Udaipur, and Chief Residential Commissioner, New Delhi.
