The deputation tenure of Prashant Kumar, a 2001 batch IRS (Customs & Indirect Taxes) officer, who is currently serving as Special Director of Enforcement in the Directorate of Enforcement (ED), has been extended for a further period of one year (marking the sixth such extension), effective from December 7, 2025, allowing him to continue his crucial role in the nation’s premier financial investigative agency.
